Healing Across the Lifespan: A Partnership in Mental Wellness
Choosing a mental health provider is a deeply personal decision. You aren’t just looking for a prescriber; you are looking for a witness to your story, an expert in the biological complexities of the brain, and a partner in your recovery.
My name is Jessica Stanley, and I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). My journey to this practice has been defined by a unique duality: the macro view of a healthcare executive and the micro focus of a dedicated clinician. Before opening the doors to this practice, I served as the Clinical Director for a large-scale healthcare organization. In that role, I was responsible for the oversight of complex systems, the mentorship of large clinical teams, and the implementation of evidence-based protocols across diverse populations.
While my time in leadership allowed me to impact mental health at a systemic level, my true passion has always remained in the quiet, transformative moments of the exam room. I have returned to full-time clinical practice to bring that high-level expertise back to where it matters most: the individual human experience.
Mental health does not exist in a vacuum, nor does it look the same at age seven as it does at seventy. I specialize in treating patients across the entire lifespan. Whether I am working with a child struggling to navigate their first years of school, an adolescent facing the pressures of identity formation, or an adult managing the heavy mantle of career and family, my approach remains the same: comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence based.
Areas of Specialization
I am trained to treat a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions including:
ADHD & Neurodivergence
Anxiety Disorders
Depression
PTSD & Trauma Recovery
With over 15 years of nursing experience, my passion for psychiatry began early in my nursing career as I witnessed patients transform their lives through healing, self-discovery, and resilience. It is profoundly humbling meeting someone at their lowest point and having the privilege of walking alongside them as they do the work to become their best selves.
I work with adults ages 18 to 60 from all walks of life, with a special focus on individuals who are often overlooked, misunderstood, or silently struggling. Many of the people I work with appear “put together” on the outside—successful, dependable, and strong—while internally feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or barely holding it together.
I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, to immigrant parents from Haiti, and my cultural background plays an important role in who I am as a provider. Being deeply connected to both Haitian and American cultures has given me a broad perspective and a deep appreciation for cultural identity, family systems, and the shared human experience. At the core, struggle looks very similar across cultures—and everyone deserves care that is respectful, culturally responsive, and compassionate.
I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)-prepared, dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with experience caring for individuals with both medical and mental health needs. I provide comprehensive, evidence-based psychiatric care with a focus on medication management and holistic treatment.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, and other mood-related conditions. My approach is patient-centered and collaborative. I take the time to listen, understand your concerns, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your goals and lifestyle.
I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns.

My path into psychiatry began in surgery, where I originally planned to become a neurosurgeon. During medical school, I participated in a diving expedition and later worked on the Biosphere 2 project — experiences that immersed me in extreme environments and sparked a deep curiosity about how people think, feel, and relate to one another under pressure. That curiosity led me to psychiatry, and since then I have combined rigorous medical training with psychodynamic study to better understand and treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. I provide telehealth psychiatric care to adults, adolescents, and children in Massachusetts and Connecticut, with a special focus on trauma, treatment-resistant conditions, and pediatric psychiatry, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Many of the people I work with have felt unheard or discouraged in previous treatment — and I take that seriously.
I am a provider dedicated to empowering clients I work with through knowledge and information. I enjoy working with clients, discussing options and participating in shared decision making. This is your health, and I want to support people in making their own informed decisions.
I welcome all marginalized and disenfranchised individuals to my practice. I work closely with LGBTQIA+ communities especially transgender communities. As a white provider I do diligent work in dismantling racism in healthcare settings.
Choosing to start therapy or medication management is a big step—and you don’t have to do it alone. My approach is collaborative and person-centered: I want to understand you, your experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals, so we can create a plan that feels supportive, effective, and tailored to your life.
