My goal is to provide high quality client-centered care, utilizing a humanistic approach. I am focused on validating my client's life experiences and providing a safe and non-judgmental space to share. I also believe in holistic point of view and integrative care of body, mind, and spirit.
My clinical experience includes working with children, teens, and adults with many issues including: grief, work-related stress, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and neurodivergence (ADHD/Autism).
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own personal experiences and my interests in human behavior, attachment theory, and social justice. My nearly six years of experience working in community mental health have strongly influenced my therapeutic lens. I am LGBTQIA+-affirming, committed to working from an antiracist lens, and deeply value inclusivity of all kinds. I have been fortunate enough to serve a socioculturally diverse population, including adults living with severe and persistent mental illness, undocumented individuals, survivors of trauma, LGBTQ+ folks, and differently-abled children and adolescents.
I bring more than 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. I received my Master of Social Welfare from UCLA, and my work in group homes, schools, and community-based nonprofits has shaped my understanding of how emotional, academic, cultural, and environmental factors influence well-being.
I specialize in working with Latino and bilingual families, and I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood.
I am a bilingual therapist who is passionate about facilitating the healing process by collaborating with you to assist you with your goals. I strongly believe in creating safe spaces for clients without judgement.
What started as an interest in human behavior and Psychology, blossomed into empathy for the human experience and learning what an incredible privilege it is to hear and witness the vulnerability of others. While obtaining my MA in Marital and Family Therapy, I worked in Community Mental Health, primarily serving low-income families. I have gained a wide range of experiences with many diverse populations. Maintaining cultural competence, and open-mindedness to all is crucial to my identity as a therapist. A safe and supportive environment is the foundation of the therapeutic relationship.
I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) providing telehealth services to clients in California. With over 25 years of experience, I firmly believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives. My role as a therapist involves understanding and respecting my client’s experiences and collaboratively developing tools to support their ongoing journey.
I work with individuals seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, grief, women's issues, trauma/PTSD, and chronic illness/pain challenges. I'm experienced in treating relationship and family challenges. I maintain a body-positive, sex-positive, and LGBTQ+ friendly approach, welcoming different lifestyles without judgment.
