As a licensed mental health professional, my dedication lies in supporting you to reach your personal goals through a personalized approach. I draw from a diverse range of therapeutic methods, carefully tailored to fit your unique preferences and needs. My areas of focus include aging, health and general anxiety, depression, substance use, self harm, eating disorders, and couples counseling. I understand that facing mental health can be challenging and at times daunting or uncomfortable.
I hold a license in Mental Health Counseling and completed comprehensive post-graduate training in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. My practice is focused on addressing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma in adults. I meet with clients weekly or multiple times a week virtually or in-person, and I offer sessions in English and Russian.
I have been working with individuals, couples and families for many years. I am thought of as empathic, warm and engaging. I consider therapy to be a partnership. It is designed to work towards "your" goals, and it is my goal, to help you achieve them. I have worked with people having many different "struggles" or "transitions" in their lives. I am experienced in all areas from trauma, childhood and adult abuse, DV, anxiety, depression, sexuality, family or other relationships, along with substance use disorders/struggles. I also understand the specific challenges that come with parenting, and the issues we encounter coping with the varied neeeds of aging parents. I use many different modalities in our work. I believe that we all can benefit from having a therapist to work with, and I look forward to meeting you. While I currently reside in the Hudson Valley, I am from NYC, and do also understand the specific stressors of city life.
I have been working with the Elderly and their family members for 40 years. I work from a strength-based perspective and work with clients to empower them and help find solutions to their issues.
I often work with clients dealing with anxiety, grief, feelings of stuckness or dissatisfaction, and other issues that may require new ways of approaching themselves, others, and the world in which they live.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and achieve emotional well-being. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, behavioral concerns, school related challenges, and using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, tailored to each client’s unique needs.
