I enjoy working with people from ages 16- 35. These are exciting and challenging times. Many people graduate from high school, go to college, start careers and start families. These are times when people begin to get to know themselves and become their true selves. These transitions can come with unique challenges. Sometimes one's values do not align with their families’ values, or their talents are not celebrated in their community. It can be very difficult to balance the demands of school, extra-curricular activities and a social life. Also, life doesn't stand still so difficult events like death, divorce and break-ups happen.
I help people understand their values, their goals and their relationships. I help them to make sense of the events that have happened in their lives, so that they can heal from past hurts and create a vision for who they want to become. I also help them to develop coping skills, form supportive relationships and understand their values and gifts.
Please reach out to me if you are hurting, feel lost or feel as sense of hopelessness. If you are feeling depressed, anxious or feel like you are not reaching your goals despite your best efforts. I can help you to create a more empowering vision of yourself and teach you skills to move forward.
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile! My name is Terri Lee Stowe and I am the founder/owner of Engaging Teens Counseling Center. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I currently see clients ages 11-25 years-of age. It would be my pleasure to help you/your child to transition between adolescence and adulthood. It is my goal to engage clients and allow them to feel both seen and heard.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in providing therapeutic services to adults (18+) in individual, group, and couples formats. My foundational background with mental health services comes from my experience working in inpatient psychiatric settings with severe mental disorders and substance use/addiction. I am also fluently bilingual in Spanish.
Hi, I'm Joanna. I'm a licensed professional counselor-supervisor and I've been in private practice for 15 years. I see therapy as an educative process, and I utilize creative, adaptive therapeutic approaches in our work together. I work with people experiencing trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, chronic pain/illness, and adjustment challenges. Treatment modalities include CBT, EMDR, KAP (Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy), DBT, somatic modalities, meditation, mindfulness, play/sand play modalities, energy psychology, and brief solution-focused therapies.
I was born and raised in San Antonio and proudly served in the U.S. Army, where I developed a strong sense of discipline, resilience, and a deep commitment to serving others. As a Veteran, I bring a unique perspective and a nuanced understanding of military culture to my counseling work.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending weekends with my family—especially cheering on my son at his baseball games. These moments remind me of the importance of connection, joy, and presence, all of which I strive to bring into the counseling process.
I became a counselor to be a steady, grounded presence for those on the path of healing. My approach centers on fostering growth, resilience, and inner peace. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and provide specialized support for individuals navigating trauma, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
I try to be relatable, respectful, and at times transparent. My journey to becoming a therapist gives me perspectives that allow me to connect with a lot of different people from diverse walks of life
