Hi! I'm Jan Quirl, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Professional Art Therapist with 30 years of counseling experience as an independent practitioner. I have three Master's Degrees: Master of Education, Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas in Austin, two years of graduate coursework, and two years of supervision in Art Therapy from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and a Master of Divinity degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. I have two years of experience in training and residency as a hospital chaplain and two years of experience as a hospice chaplain and social worker.
I build strong therapeutic relationships with my clients and believe we can work together as a team to overcome challenges to create the kind of life you want to have. I love the work I do and am committed to each of my clients. I'm relaxed though direct, and focus both on challenges and successes. My biggest strength is fully committing to assist my clients with making positive changes in their lives. I look forward to meeting you soon!
You’re a sensitive, empathic, and motivated woman. Lately, you feel lost and numb, and wonder if you will ever feel better. You thought you were ok, but past experiences have reappeared. Anxiety and sadness have crept in. No one can tell because you hold it all together. Faking a smile, scrolling, avoiding, or withdrawing isn’t helping anymore. You’re exhausted, and you’ve shut down. You want to feel confident, less shame and self-doubt, and no longer feel the past is in control.
I work with adults, couples, and teens, helping people untangle challenges that often feel overwhelming, interconnected, or hard to name. I believe most struggles don’t exist in isolation—they affect our relationships, our emotions, and how we move through the world. My role is to truly get to know you, understand your story, and support you in creating meaningful, lasting change.
My background is both clinical and academic. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, along with graduate degrees in Philosophy and Sociology, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communications. I’m also a doctoral candidate in Educational Psychology. This combination allows me to look at your concerns through emotional, relational, and systemic lenses—not just symptom-focused ones.
I specialize in trauma work, relationship therapy, and working with preteens and teens—who are often misunderstood but incredibly important to support early. I’ve trained in EMDR, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), CBT, Art Therapy, and Conflict & Dispute Resolution. Above all, I value creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely supported.
I’m Layne Smith, an LPC-S licensed in Texas with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler & 8 years of clinical experience. I offer a person-centered, goal-oriented approach tailored to each client’s strengths & goals. I provide both in-person and telehealth sessions.
Whatever life situation that brought you to this page, could also be your opportunity for change. Do you struggle with anxiety or overthinking? What about depression or identity issues? Do you cringe while having small-talk? You may have an introvert personality type. I have been there, too. You are not alone, and you are not broken. That's why I love helping others gain a healthy perception of themselves and their relationships.
I believe that healing begins with being heard, understood, and supported in a safe, nonjudgmental space. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I specialize in working with clients navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, and self-esteem struggles. My approach integrates evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with mindfulness, self-compassion, and strengths-based techniques.
I believe growth is possible for everyone, and I am passionate about supporting clients as they rediscover hope, confidence, and balance.
The combination of my education, life experiences and training working with individuals and families has helped me appreciate distinct angles, embrace diversity, and empathize with different perspectives. I provide psychotherapy services in English/Spanish and work sensitively with individuals of diverse ethnic, gender, language, and cultural backgrounds.
Hello, my name is Jeremiah Henderson. I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in the state of Texas. I have experience working with depression, grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, low motivation, trauma, and anger. It is important to realize that we are all prone to experience life stressors and negative emotions that can knock us down; however, I want us to work to develop skills and coping mechanisms to assist in helping to pull ourselves back to a point of stability. Getting to a place of happiness and stability is not something we can stumble on by accident, it will take deliberate work to get there and even harder work to maintain it. Let me help you get to the finish line.
